Robert Balla, DMD

Dr. Robert Balla lives in Canton, CT, has practiced in New England for over 30 years, and was born and raised in northern New Jersey.  He attended and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University on a track and field scholarship, and was the New Jersey Collegiate State Champion in the sprints and participated in the Olympic trials. 

Dr. Balla received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1975 from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He enrolled in dental school at the College of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey Dental School in 1975 and graduated with his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) in 1978.  Dr. Balla received a commission as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and practiced general dentistry at the Brunswick Naval Air Station on the coast of Maine from 1980 to 1986.  He maintained a solo dental practice in beautiful Wiscasset Maine.  Dr. Balla returned to northern New Jersey and the University of Medicine and Dentistry on NJ in 1986 to carry our his endodontic specialty training.  He received his certification in Endodontics in 1988.
 

Dr. Balla now practices in West Hartford, Rocky Hill, and Torrington, CT.  He is immediate past president of the CT Association of Endodontists and a member of the Hartford Dental Society, The CT State Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists.  He is a past president of the Hartford Dental Society, a present Delegate for the CT State Dental Association and past member of the CT State Dental Association Board of Governors.  He is on staff and an instructor at Hartford Hospital.  He has been named one of CT’s and Hartford’s top dentists since 2008. 

Dr. Balla is married to his lovely wife Ellie and enjoys spending time with her and their two sons and is passionate about skiing, fishing, boating, water skiing, photography, gardening, walking and anything that connects him with mother nature.  He is dedicated to the comfort of his patients.  His caring and compassionate approach are frequent comments made by his patients.
