Dr. Hisham Rifaey
Hisham Rifaey D.M.D.,M.D.Sc.
Dr. Rifaey was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Upon graduating high school, he moved East to attend the University of Rochester, where he graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Cell and Developmental Biology. After college, he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he earned his D.M.D. in 2009. While there, he received the Dr. Richard G. Topazian Humanitarian Award. After graduating dental school, Dr. Rifaey spent one year training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in New York City, followed by another year pursuing a certificate in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Connecticut. He spent the next year in private practice as a general dentist in Agawam, Massachusetts. In 2012, he started his third and final residency at the University of Connecticut in Endodontics during which time he also earned his Master's Degree. He was awarded the Graduate Assistantship Research Scholarship for his research involving 3D cell cultures. Additionally, Dr. Rifaey achieved board certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
After living in Connecticut for the past decade, Dr. Rifaey is proud to call himself a New Englander. He is a member of the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Connecticut Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, and the American Board of Endodontics. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing and coaching ice hockey, and experiencing the great outdoors.
